Support Music Education, Win a Trip to Deja Voom

We are going above and beyond to fundraise for another education grant applicant who wants to build a recording studio at a public high school in South LA.

The grand prize is an expenses-paid trip for two to Deja Voom in Riviera Maya, Mexico, featuring Bassnectar, Rezz, The Glitch Mob, Digital Mystikz, and so much more.

Additional prizes include tickets to any 2019 club show The Glitch Mob does, and the big win also includes meeting up with Bassnectar.

The project we’re supporting is beyond cool. For the past several years, Young Producers Group has been working with kids at underprivileged public schools to cover the gap in music education that budget cuts caused.

A group of extremely talented and driven young folks have found their passion in the computer lab they’re using now, a passion that’s hit a ceiling without a real studio for them to use. This is the final push to raise funds for this studio and make the dreams of these kids, and many kids in the future, real.

We’re convinced that Young Producers Group could not be more deserving of support, and together we’re aiming to raise $12,000. If you can’t support financially, spreading the word is good as gold. Please post a link to the campaign as often as you can, the fundraiser runs until January 31. Thank you for pitching in.

If you’re making a charitable gift this holiday season, this is us with our hands in the air for a very good cause.

We envision this studio only being available to those students that have already taken the class or pass a test to ensure they know how to use and maintain all of the equipment. Because the studio will not be available to everyone, it will serve as an incentive to the students that are working in the music tech lab to do their very best. They’ll know that if they work hard, there is a studio waiting for them. – Lawrence Grey, Young Producers Group
