Winter 2018 Action Theme
What we learn shapes our world. What do you want to teach?
Education has fallen by the wayside in the US. It is critically underfunded, teachers are grossly underpaid, the arts are almost nonexistent in public schools, and while our hearts might be with the youngest generation, our minds aren’t. What’s the best thing you can do to shift the educational experience?
Your project could be about students, or it could benefit teachers. It could tell the story of what’s missing at your local high school, or highlight & help fund a transformative program that’s taken an Elementary class by storm. Teachers are welcome to apply.
- The story of Malala Yousafzai
- The We The Future Kickstarter
- Little Kids Rock
- New York’s new law requiring Mental Health Education
- Meditation in Schools
Grant Amount: $0-20,000
You tell us what you need within this range. Some may only need help and collaborators, or a platform to share. Others may have a big project that requires a lot of money in mind. Both are equally welcome to apply.
Timeline & Application
The first phase application is open now and closes November 25 at 11:59 pm PT.
Your project must be complete by March 15, 2019.
The application process first requires you to submit a summary, then if we are interested you will need to create a budget and provide references, as well as a summary of your project and your qualifications. Don’t worry, it’s not as hard as it sounds, and we’re here to support you.
